Jeremy Penrod
Pastor
Pastor Jeremy Penrod grew up here at Temple Baptist Church and has been privileged to serve on the pastoral staff since 1999, first as our assistant pastor and, since 2013, as our lead pastor. He and his wife, Marcy, have been married since 1999. After working as a certified medical assistant at a local OB-GYN office for 25 years, Marcy recently transitioned to a teaching role at Southeast Community College.
Pastor Jeremy & Marcy have four children. Joel (2001) & his wife, Sara, live in Simi Valley, California, where he is attending seminary, she teaches piano, and they lead the youth ministry in their local church. Brenna (2003) is finishing her final year of college in Ankeny, Iowa, where she plays soccer and is earning her degree in elementary education; she is engaged to be married. Luke (2004) is in his second year of college in Seward, Nebraska, where he starts on the football team and is preparing for a career as a physician’s assistant. Andrew (2006) is in his final year of high school at Lincoln Christian where he plays basketball & tennis and is seeking the Lord’s direction for where he should study next year.
Currently, Pastor Jeremy serves on the Council of 18 for Regular Baptist Ministries as well as on the oversight council for Baptist Church Planters. He also serves as the President of the Board of Trustees at Whispering Cedars Baptist Camp in Genoa, Nebraska, and has loved leading the high school week of camp and fall youth retreats for the past 30 years!

Micah Leary
Ministry Apprentice
Micah leads and organizes the music ministry at Temple Baptist. He enjoys directing congregational singing, choir, and other ensembles and seeing the church worshiping God through music. Micah also leads the college and career ministry and has a passion for building relationships and investing into young lives as they are changed by the Word of God.
Born and raised near Buffalo, NY, Micah grew up in a ministry family with 9 siblings.
Micah holds a Bachelor degree from Cairn University, a Masters degree from West Chester University, and a Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. In his free time, Micah enjoys hiking, backpacking, board games, and spending time with friends.
